Funny Farm

Lots of new things are happening this year. We acquired a few extra animals for a petting zoo at the Easter Spring Fling event. It’s been on our list to make some additions to our livestock to further our goal of a more sustainable lifestyle. Thus, we purchased some animals from our Mennonite neighbors. We now parent three sheee-eep, a few rabbits, and chickens of course. If you have visited us in the past you will likely see some new things happening at the barn. We’ve been entertaining the idea of multi-species rotational grazing for a while so looking at our pasture you will likely find our sheep grazing beside their big horse friends. Up close and personal you will find the rabbits outside in their movable hutch. Also out front will be our heritage breed chickens in their big run. Make sure to ask about our fresh farm eggs.
